Pardon my ignorance but what does DM, E-CAS stands for ? Sori ha......senior na ako. We are being sponsored by our daughter. Tapos na kami mag medical. Our medical was submitted to the embassy only a month ago. How long pa kaya kami mag hi hintay for the next step ( whatever it is) ?

Ecas is the online site where you will see the status of your application. You put in your client number and your birth date etc then you will see if your application is IN Process or DM- Decision Made. After medical you wait for whatever the embassy will require. For us my parents went for medicals Aug 2012 and they just got their visas Dec 5 2012. Goodluck!

Toronto- DM was Nov 17 then they requested passports so DHL picked up Nov22 then visas arrived Dec 5. My parents are excited. Really good christmas gift. They have until July 2013 to come here. Its really long long wait. We applied Feb 2008. But keep praying. Yours should come very soon.

Thanks chicaholic4ever for the information. We live in the town of Cebu and not in the City proper. For sure there's no DHL in our area. I'm just wondering how are they going to mail our visa or is there any courier that they are using aside from DHL?

Congrats chicaholic4ever! I can imagine how happy you are and your parents. Are your parents live somewhere in Luzon? Probably our visa will be delayed because we are in Visayas...not sure for the courier.

depende po.. kung wala na po ask na addtl pa embassy wait na lang po. like us, after medical last june almost 6 months na po kami waiting.. pero mabilis naman yung iba 3 mos or earlier my visa na.. Godbless! 

8/27//12 - mailed the passport with the copy of the receipt (RPRF) and other docs.
8/28/12 - submitted the medical result to Cad. Embassy- Mnl
10/20/12 - medical result received (ECAS)
11/17/12 - DM

ahh ok po... kelan kaya ung DM namen.. medical received namen nov lang nag appear ecas pero july pa sya

Do you have any idea regarding the courier for the remote area? like us there's no DHL in our hometown. Do they have other courier aside from DHL?

hopingggg! about sa courier po alam ko dhl lang ung mga nabasa ko po dito sa forum na experience nila kapag wala dhl tnatawagan po sila tas pick up nila or wait ng dhl kung my mga kasabay na ddeliver sa place nyo kaya tumatagal din
