We've received approved LMIA just yesterday. It took 4 months and 13 days (that's 19 weeks, 95 weekdays) in total since the submission.
The processing centre was in Vegreville and the officer was very polite and friendly.
congrats! for the rest of us waiting - lets hope for the best :)

I am currently on implied status and waiting for LMIA. I called MSP and they extended my coverage for 3 months once I faxed them proof that I had applied for a new WP. They also told me that if my coverage lapsed, they would back-pay any fees I incurred while out of status. You should definitely look into that if you had to pay for doctor visits after your WP was rejected.

Yes once the work permit has expired they have to start the process again. Which means re advertising first as they have to prove that they cannot hire a Canadian or PR before rehiring TFWorker. employer can't get a new LMIA until they have followed every step now especially since the rules have changed.

People are getting refused for a simple mistake on application form. The new form is 11/12 pages long and they want so much details from the employer. One of the new rules is there can be no more than 30% (soon to go down to 10%) of foreign workers within the company.

My potential employer is having a problem with the numbers they have to say how many workers are in the company how many are Canadian how many are PR and how many are foreign workers then they ask the same questions for the job location and then the same for the job position hiring.

So you see it's not as simple as it was last year before rule changes.
Hi where can I find the new forms? and the application kit.

Thanks

Which office was it submitted because I know some have been sent to provincial office instead of st John's.

how many of your employer are doing it themselves or using a professional company For application.

Submitted to St Johns. The company have applied for LMIA themselves - 1st LMIA they have done. They have the support of an automotive recruitment company though. 37+ weeks and still waiting.

Hi ALL
My NOC code is 1122 and my employer is a Toronto based company but I am posted in Alberta. My work location as well as residence has been in Alberta for the last 1 year. My employer applied for LMIA on April 13, 2015 through a lawyer. I got my file number within 2 weeks of submitting the application. However, I am yet to hear anything about my LMIA application result.
Does anyone has any idea about how much time it takes to get a final decision on LMIA application after receiving the file number? Any suggestions will be much appreciated as I am on implied status and express entry points shot up to 755 in the last draw (my score is 473).
Thanks!
