@plussy

im just wondering if the job offer letter being mentioned in IMM5556 is the same job offer letter i submitted when I renewed my WP online or should i ask my employer to make a new one specifically for OWP.

is this HRSDC confirmation the positive labor market that we had?

thanks again.

@ job_seeker/plussy:

thank you for your replies.

regarding the submission of this OWP along with the PR, do I need to submit job offer letter again as well as an HRSDC confirmation number?
Hi kcire, when you applying for PR/OWP the document checklist (IMM5566) does not apply to you, your using the form IMM 5290 for the application of "Open Work Permit" which allows you to accept employment and to work for any employer for the time period specified on the work permit. It can only be granted once you have received first stage approval (approval in principle) of your application for permanent residence.

so you dont need to submit specific job offer from any employer.

You should submit your application for an open work permit (IMM 1249) together with your application for permanent residence (IMM 0008). Write “open work permit” at the top of your application (IMM 1249).

Hi Kcire,

Yes. The same job offer letter. If you have amendments on your contract (i.e increase in wages), attached them and make sure it has signatures and dates from both of you.

Yes. The HRSDC confirmation you received.

Goodluck :)

hi all...Happy Thanksgiving!

My apology if I will be asking this question again for the nth time. This is regarding the police clearance here in Canada. Kindly please give me advise on this esp. to those who have submitted their app. I don't know if I'm going to obtain one for myself or will just send the fingerprints along with the app and CIC will do it on my behalf.

If you and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens have to provide:

a valid police certificate, or
police clearance, or
record of no information.
These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months prior to submitting your application. If the original certificate is not in English or French, then you will need to submit both the certificate and the original copy of the translation prepared by an accredited translator.

hello again.

in paying the application fees online, which one to choose?

Permanent Residence: Right of Permanent Residence (475.00)
Family Class: Principal Applicant (475.00)

Also, on OWP, does it belongs to the Work Permit (including extensions) which is 150.00?
Can I pay OWP/PR together in one receipt or should I pay separately for each?

Thanks.

hi! i just want to ask a lot of questions, and hopefully you guys can help me..

i am eligible to apply as a permanent resident and i just want to make sure of what im going to do with some of the requirements.

1.STATEMENT OF EARNINGS SHOWING HOURS WORKED AND DEDUCTIONS MADE BY THE EMPLOYER (this statement shows your gross and net earnings, specific deductions, the purpose of these deductions and the total number of hours worked, including overtime, during each pay period)

-is this on a letter format? and if you have any sample can please share it to me? thanks so much!

2. i am single and i don't have a common-law partner or any children, so i am not suppose to write on:

page 2 of 3:
B - MY FAMILY MEMBERS IN CANADA

PAGE 3 OF 3:
C - MY FAMILY MEMBERS LIVING OUTSIDE OF CANADA

as i read the instructions family members are:
-your spouse or common-law partner
-all of your dependent children
-all of the dependent children of your spouse or common-law partner

how about my parents? i want to sponsor them someday, do i need to put their names on my application?

Thanks so much in advance! God bless!

what is the approximate processing time for single applicants under LCP?
how about married LCP PR applicants, how long have you been all waiting for?

because I do have a fiance' back home, and im thinking whether to apply first as a single or get married then apply then just sponsor the husband afterwards? which takes longer?! thank u!

I suggest that you work on your permanent resident application first and then get married when its all done. Single applicants have shorter processing timeline.
