Hi All,

This forum has been a great help for me in my journey to Canada. Many people replied to my posts, I understood many things from other members' posts. I saw many guys taking a lot of efforts to help others without expecting anything in return. Everything went well for me, I got VISA, landed in Canada now studying one year post graduate certificate program at George Brown college, Toronto.

Now, its give back time for me. If you may have any questions regarding any of the topics like, SPP or General, Gap in Studies, Course mis- match, consultancies or self, flight tickets, transit in other countries, Port of entry procedures, COOP work permit, accommodation in Canada etc.... I can answer from my experiences (These were some questions I had)

I WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK

Vinod

Hi Everyone,

I have 1.5 years of experience in software testing in an IT firm and my academic details are listed below.

10th - 50 %
12th - 64 %
Graduation(BE - Electrical and electronics engineering) - 63 %

I am looking for a pg diploma course which is a mixture of both IT and management.I have short-listed the following two programs.

Project Management - Information Technology from seneca college

Information Systems Business Analysis Program from george brown college

Please let me know out of these two courses, which is better for securing a job in the Canadian market.

Also I noticed that the Project Management course from seneca is a 8 months course plus a optional 4 month co-op.So if I choose a optional co-op,will I get 12 months PG work permit or just 8 months as the course duration is 8 months.

Looking forward to hearing from. Thanks in advance. :)

i am from civil engineering field. i am thinking of doing one of the following programmes:

A masters degree in civil again ( i am already doing my masters in highways)

pg diploma in GIS from red river college

pg diploma in project management as it is related to construction field

questions and doubts :

1. will i be able to get admission in any university with these scores (saskatechwan, new brunswik, manitoba)?

2. if yes then, are there any chances for visa approval (regarding i am doing masters 2nd time or SOP)

3. as i will be completing masters here only, does doing a pg dip makes more sense in particular field(GIS) or Project Management to gain visa?

4. Which will be more suitable for visa chances and beneficial for PGWP?

5. what can be the job prospects in these fields ?

6. shall i remain in the same province of study in order to gain PR or i can change province to look for better opportunities(like alberta for civil) ? and if i change province then what will be the effect on PR?

Please give your valuable response and offer help. i will be highly thankful to you.

A good IELTS score can secure more chances for getting a visa and admission.....if its a co-op and the letter says that the whole course along with duration will take up to 12 months then yes you'll get 12 months visa.....

Both courses are good.....the colleges are well reputed.....but I would suggest that you also find a college outside TORONTO.....

Actually now its one month since I landed. Sorry, I cudnt find much time to spend on this forum. I flew from Dubai to Toronto via London. One thing for your information we can even go out of London airport for sight seeing or any other things if we have time. I spent one night in Central London, it was raining when I was there so I cudnt go much for sight seeing. (If we are a visa national (India & Pakistan) included, if we have a onward journey confirmed ticket within 24 hours then UK London Heathrow airport immigration will issue us a 24 hours valid visa on our passport for FREE, with that visa we can go out of airport but shud return within 24 hours for our flight to Canada)
which airline bro

Im shehzad pathan from mumbai.
i am a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) graduate.

apart from that i have Cisco CCNA certification
and also a 2 years+ work experience in an ISP (Internet Service Provider) company.
IELTS Score is 6.5 bands overall.

i applied for Wireless Telecommunication @ Humber....but my application got rejected due to inadequate background.
(i guess it must be only for the people holding engineering degrees)

then i applied for Wireless Networking @ George Brown....and they accepted my application
but the problem is that the course is on 1 year and the fees is too high (12 lacs INR)
plus i will get only 1 year work permit.

So i'm thinking of applying for WIN (Wireless Info. Networking) program
which seems to be of 2 years

My Question is am i elegible for this WIN program @ fleming?
if yes.....then what would be the tuition fees plus how many years VISA will i be getting?

and ive also heard that part time jobs r difficult in that area (peterborough)...is it??
how can i manage my daily expenses???

please help me with my questions...so that i can apply for January 2015 intake....!!!!
thanks..!!!
