Kitchener Office Test in October 2014

Dear all Kitchener applicants,
I wanted to start this topic for all of you who will be taking their test/interview this October. Please, share your timeline or your experiences regarding how long we will wait after the test to have the ceremony. Also, did you receive information about the Oath in your Note to Appear for the test?

Took the test in August. The officers were super friendly. Pre-test RQ is being processed at St. Clair, and I am still waiting for my oath.

Our RQ was being processed at St. Claire as well but was transferred to Kitchener three weeks ago...then we are scheduled for the test early October..do they send files back to St. Claire after the test or what?

In my case, I had just responded to the RQ one month before my test. Since I applied in Feb 2014, I assume you have applied earlier. It's likely that your application is being processed differently. The officer at the interview should be able to tell you more. I think it's unlikely that your RQ goes back to St. Clair.

I have noticed that my application has been sent to kitchener office. It seems it's been complete and hopefully I should receive a test request. Do you have any idea how fast the kitchener office is working and how along it took for you after the received line disappeared or you noticed that your applications has been moved to kitchener to receive the test letter?

It took them like two weeks after the file sent to Kitchener to send me an invitation for the test/interview

Pedram - when did you apply? It usually takes 2 months for Kitchener office to call routine applicants for a test and 2 months after to be called for interview. Did you call CIC to check if your file has been transferred to Kitchener? What date was it transferred to Kitchner?

Timeline for test invite is different for routine applications, Egyo. Also I think that RQ cases are sent back to St Claire for approval after test as during the test, your passport stamps are checked again even though you have already sent them.

Egyo, the test is pretty easy, dont stress yourself too much with it. Just reading the Discover Canada book in its entirety is sufficient. All questions are from the book only.

Come again? The interview with the officer is not the same day? Why does Kitchener office have a different policy? Btw, I just learned my file is in this local office.
