Kid 8, school record needed?

I thought I'll do a bit if research on the topic and it got confusing really fast.

Anyways the question is that do I need to include school record / attendance of our kid (8yr old)?

We are applying as a family and some folks mentioned they got a request to submit school record.

I'm not sure why it would be necessary to do it however I don't want to miss out anything for the application and would like some feedback.

I submitted my son's,as well as my daughter's (she's Canadian) report cards of all inclusive years. I gave everything,documents wise,they've asked for that is applicable to me. I was apprehensive about sending just the report cards, and had even a back up plan of asking for other school records from my children's school if the report cards weren't accepted. But IRCC took and approved everyone of the docs I submitted along with our application,they didn't ask for additional documents at all.
If it's applicable to you and your family, give them the documents.
