Hi guys! Sponsorship approval came through today , only 2 months and 3 days since our application was received. Def shows that you should ignore the date they give on the website because that says they're working on applications from May 18th but ours was received over a month after that.

Medicals done : 09/06/12
Application sent: 23/06/12
Application received: 25/06/12
No AOR
Sponsorship Approval: 28/08/12

Hi all, the information on this forum is very helpful and helped me come to a peace of mind LOL. Now I want to share my experience with the rest of you...

I'm a Canadian living outside of Canada for 9 years. My wife and I married 9 years ago and have been living together for the past 9 years in Vietnam with two kids, a 4 years old son and a 2 years old daughter. Below is my timeline so far...

May 26/12 - I sended our application out to CIC in Mississauga
August 8/12 - received an email from CIC notifying me that they've received my application on June 11/2012, the letter contains a UCI case # which you may use to check your status online on the CIC website.
August 13/12 - received an email from CIC notifying me that my application as the sponsor has been approved, and that my wife's application for permanent resident is send to the visa office aboard which is in Singapore.
TODAY August 28/12 - I log on to the CIC website daily to check our application, and right now under my wife's permanent residence applications status is "application received".

Please add me on the spread sheet if possible, Thank You.

i didn't check d box, i cannot check my status provided that i received the approval!
my hubby cannot contact cic to fix this problem since d waiting time for being on hold to connect is approx 45 min n his break time is less than this! :-[
i don't know what to do!
there is no option to see my status n d website just ask to check d box! :-\

When I log on my I get the same, I don't have an option to check my status. You just have to wait until someone from CIC updates ECAS. Just have to check up every few days. At least you have been approved that's all that matters.

So you still cant view it nelly*, at least you have received your approval, that's more reassuring. I havent heard from them at all. I tried to use my hubby's old uci to check... It didn't show anything at all until yesterday but it was equally frustrating seeing that and not seeing anything at all >.<

Smvi, thanks for the encouragement. I cant sit still anymore. Application received on 25/6 already gotten approval... And mine is still so elusive, nothing heard at all... :'( :'( :'(

Me too, when i checked the status at ECAS no info found. Sponsor Approved also last August 23.

miniejungle it means they r processing your application! i'm pretty sure u will get your approval very soooon
