I would think you will get it any day now... My husband is in texas and got his already. But I wasn't allowed to know when they mailed it.
I'd try calling sometime this week if you don't see it. And double triple check they mailed to the right address lol

Our COPR letter was mailed April 17th to NYC according to call centre. We still didn't receive anything. The address is correct. They said they can't do anything about it until May 17 for some reason.

Well we got our COPR on Tuesday this week. Just thought I would update everyone. Wife is going to be moving here on the 20th of May. Hopefully others receive some good news soon. It's really weird because I don't even know how to feel about it all anymore. Probably in shock but it all feels really surreal like it isn't really happening. Being left in the dark about something so important really messes with you I guess :p. Anyways, I hope you all have good luck!

Congrats!! yep surreal is a good description of the feeling. After all we all wait for so long with out any communication and then when we least expect it. CIC gives us our positive decision.

Hello,

I'm having a problem to prove my husband as sponsor's intent to reside in Canada when my PR is approved.

My husband is a naturalized Canadian in 2004, and has been living in the US since 2007 for schooling and working till now. He returned to Canada shortly for 3 months in 2012 then came back to the US with me because we couldn't separate. We submitted the PR application for me in June. Visa office filed on July 7, 2014. Sponsor eligibility was approved late August. We really plan to settle down in Canada from August 2016 when I graduate (I'm in PhD program right now and can't leave the school, I have to work on campus). In January, 2015, I received a request from the Ottawa office to prove my husband's intent to reside in Canada when I get the PR. I described our plan that we would move to Canada immediately after I graduate in August next year.

Recently, I received another message from Ottawa office. They were not satisfied with my response back in January. They re-emphasized on a proof of my husband's intent to reside in Canada when I become PR. And, they said, the plan he would come in August 2016, goes well beyond the time my application was finalized (it was meant either good or bad).

My questions:
1. Is it very likely that my application will be denied?
2. If my application denied, will this denial negatively affect my next time application?
3. Is there anything that I can do right now?
4. Was it a mistake to apply last July 2014 when we plan to settle down in Canada in August 2016? I often see delays.
5. Any thoughts appreciated!

I'm so tired of life paperwork.
Thank you very much!

1. sadly most likely yes.

2. not sure but CIC may scrutinize even more next time.

3. Only thing you can do is satisfy CIC that you and your spouse will move to Canada as soon as your PR is given no matter what your current situation is.

4. In your case yes it was a mistake if you were not willing and able to move right away to Canada as one never knows how long or how short the process will be until completion. A couple must be willing and able to do what it takes for the PR.

Chris.

I would not worry too much, this simply means that your process is nearing completion you have what is known as DM decision made. The VO should be contacting you soon about PR issuance.
