is it possible to get a re-entry visa?

Hi Sir/Madam!
I am a nanny and have a multiple visa and it will expired on September 12,2012 and I'm planning to go home by May 4th and come back in 31st of May. Do I need to get a re-entry visa? coz I have four months left until it expired! Please help...thank you!

i am live in care giver in edmonton.last year i went india with multiple entry visa in my passport.
my multiple entry visa was valid for 4 months only.
visa valid up to 29th april 2011 and i went india on 16th december 2010.
i return from india to canada on 12jan2011 and my visa was valid for 3months only that is 29th april2011.and i was successfully returned to canada.
i hope this information will be helpful for you.

yeah
but keep your work permit always with you safely.its very important.
it will be required to show at airport at the returned time to the immigration office and at time of departure time.
you have to show your all documents at both arrival and departure time.as i went india two times before.

employer's letter is needed too...don't forget to ask that and state the exact date when your going for vacation and the date your coming back to continue your work your current employer.

can anyone reply that is it possible to go to home country for a short time vacation while an application for pr in canada ( under LCP) is in processing
or
it is not allowed to live in care givers and they have to present in canada until an application will approved for final decision? :-[

will travelling to home country effect pr application?

Hi Mandip,

You need to have an employer if you want to go home. A letter or certificate from your employer is one of the requirements needed for re entry.

If your currently unemployed, leaving Canada is not a good option.

my situation is-- i will submit my pr application in this august 2012.
then from september 1st 2012 i will have one new employer with valid work permit for live in care giver in employer's own home( to care for her 1year old baby)
my question is that--- can i go for vacation to my home country on december 2012 while my pr application will in processing??
i will be not on unemployment.
my future employer is already signed a contract with me for coming september.
can u plz answer me if i m not bothering you.
i 'll b very thankful.

Hi Mandip,

If thats the case, then your good to go. Ask your future employer a letter that you will have your vacation and will come back to work after a specific period of time.

Be sure also to have a valid TRV.

Your intended vacation will not affect your PR application.
