Wow what are the chances !!!

Same thing happened to me according to my GCMS notes and they require my fingerprints. My name is pretty unique, so I highly doubt it is because my name is similar to someone else's. I have lived in Canada for the past 6 years since the age of 18 so could be the main reason why they are asking for my prints.

Mine is very unique too, i've been in canada over 4 years now. I hope its nothing big or anything that would cause a big delay

I am afraid it will cause some sort of delay and they won't look at your file until a bit later on even if you provide it immediately, but not sure on that.

Just get your electronic fingerprints done as you can get them back really fast as compared to mailing them into the RCMP.

Hello,

Has anyone here try to bring your parents to visit.

My hubby and I would like for my parents to come and visit us for a month.

They need a visa, which
I don't think should be a problem since they both work, have a house and things to prove they do not want to move here.
but I am just wondering what about my application would it cause any problems, Visitor visas for Costa Ricans are issue in Guatemala but nevertheless I don't want to create any problems in our application.

I sent a letter to cic vancouver last week regarding my situation and finally today I got a call from cic's officer to schedule for me tomorrow. I was super happy since Im almost done.
I will update tomorrow after landing.

I just received this right now!! Are they requesting to redo police certificate or just canadian fingerprints?
This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.

It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. However, a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements.

In order to continue processing your application in Canada further information is required. You must complete/submit the following information to the Case Processing

resident status.

And, Yes, CIC spelled "ETOBICOKE" wrong ;D

Also, I am still waiting on my OWP which was a part of my initial application.

Congrats. That is a DM. I will update tomorrow. With Etobicoke sending out landing letter fast as bullets, you will be landing very soon. It is in this situation that makes you wonder if you spent 150 worth when you get DM quickly after AIP and landing even quicker after receiving DM.

They want fingerprints. This means that someone with your name and DOB has a record of some sort and the fingerprints are used to disambiguate you from that person.

Does anyone know how long roughly of a delay this will cause?

Send then an invitation letter. I did that with my son and got a visitors visa in a week
