OMGOMGOMG!

I just got a call from a gentleman at CIC! He asked for a copy of my passport. I am *sure* that it was part of the app. Not sure how he doesn't have it, BUT I asked him, "Does this mean that I'm getting close to AIP, finally?" He said yes. Just sent the fax. He's supposed to contact me to confirm he received it. SOOOOOOOOOO nice to know a human is actually touching my file!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed so hard that means some movement soon!

Congratulations! Hope I can get AIP soon....praying!

Just got a call, and the fax my husband sent from work came through much clearer. The gentleman at CIC says he now has what he needs to work on my phone. Guess who's little heart will be in her throat every time she checks the mail starting next week? ;D Thank goodness I started going to class this week. If I had nothing else to occupy my time and mind, I would be going NUTS. So happy to know someone's hands are on my file in Vegreville!

I've had a couple of people message me to ask how the number appeared when I got the calls from CIC. Figured I'd share out here, as it's obviously something people are curious about. I have a smartphone with caller ID, and every time CIC has called, the number appears as "Blocked". Also, the case worker would not provide a phone number for me to contact him (he said he would call me back to confirm receipt of my fax, which he did), and he said they are unable to accept emails, as well. Him calling me, and me sending copies by fax were the only ways to exchange information.

Bonne fin de semaine, mes amis! (Have a good weekend, my friends!) Hopefully, we're now seeing the signs that the long-dormant AIP process is starting to roll for us late 2012 applicants!

I know EXACTLY what you mean. When I see people getting DMs and landing, I'm happy for them, knowing what it feels like to be stuck in this process, but at the same time, I'm sooooo jealous, ESPECIALLY when I see things like Sept applicants getting DMs - a month ahead of me, but twice as far in. Makes me feel petty and small sometimes, but I can't help it. I just want this to be over. One step closer now.

OMG! Don't hate me - I just got the DM letter! 30 August 2013 - Decision made! I'm sweating, shaking, and crying! Looks like I may be able to take that vacation to Spain that my father-in-law already booked for all of us in March.

Dear Terence at CIC - I would TOTALLY KISS YOU ON THE MOUTH if I was in Vegreville right now!

Screech, no, I didn't send OWP. Most anglophone citizens can't even find work up here, so it wasn't worth it for us.

So what's next? The letter says the Montréal Centre will be contacting me about my PR status. That's for a landing appointment, right?

I guess you get a letter from Montréal and you have a landing interview at Montréal or Saguenay as I told you before.
