hi folks,

CIC website just got updated.

I tried calling the hotline and couldn't get a hold of anybody so I used the self-service machine about my OWP.

It said they received my application on May 13 and it was issued on July 28. finally!

But with the new website update, it says:

Work Permit 82 days May 7, 2011
(new employer)

yes, it says that they are working on applications received on May 7...

anyway, i hope i get the OWP soon in the mail cause it has taken way too long.

Which option did you select to check on the application Worker or Visitor?

CIC just updated, all I can say is: WTF??????

It changed to 8th October last wednesday and today it remains on 8th October??????

What the frik is up with that??? are they sleeping? or are retarded?

CIC received my wife's OWP (per fedex tracking) April 27th and it's still not in their system....wtf? Sounds like they lost it considering they are processing May 7th, is that possible?

yeah CIC just update the processing time and still working on application received on 8th october,2010. i dont know whats is happening .....is it that it change to 18th but the 1 disappear from the 8?hmmmmmm its really worrying .hope they can move faster...

I got approved! They said they would be scheduling my landing interview within 3 weeks for victoria. I skipped AIP and just got PR landing after 13 months I am very excited.

Yes, this is pretty bizarre, but common unfortunately.

Believe it or not, after i sent my OWP appl. they stayed 3 WEEKS "working"(believe if you can) on the same date. I did not move for 3 weeks. I even called CIC to ask if they had gone on strike.

I also remember that on the PR timeline, they even GOT BACK the timeline, i mean, one week was April 10 and the next week they updated to April 5, I am not kidding.

No, I don't think that is a mess up. One time in stayed on one date for 3 weeks. They are on vacation.

THey sent out the letter on July 25th according to e-cas, but I haven't recieved it yet. Now waiting to hear when the interview is. Do you get your PR card in the mail or at the interview?

How could they not move even 1 day? We only had 1 stat holiday. They can't all be on vacation.

Plus, how come they did not move for 3 weeks at that one time? 3 weeks is nuts!

Does anyone know if it picks up in September when people are back to work?

It won't even be an interview so hopefully you aren't stressing about that. You get the PR card after you land as a PR and you will get it in the mail. It takes about 8 weeks for it to arrive after landing.

Yeah they aren't all on vacation but you have to understand that Vegreville not only works on PR applications but extensions, work, and study permits. Any lack of workers is going to slow them down especially when there already isn't enough there. I am not sure why it didn't move for 3 weeks but it was a sad 3 weeks. To give you an idea or delays and when it picked up, look at the chart.

hi i'm a newbie in this site..

i just have a question..

my status say's decision made
they sent me a letter on july 27 2011 at my address..
I recieve the letter and written that i'm eligible for permanent resident but a final decision has not been made..I only got an AIP, but they dont request any documents from me..

why they said that it is decision made but they are not yet finish on the second stage..

If they send you a letter manny168 then it is all done. They are just meaning it isn't "finished" until you actually go to land as a PR at your local CIC office is all. Congrats!

What does e-Cas say about your application?

P.S. You have both AIP and PR approval.

Soooo lame. Still nothing from me other than my CSQ. I'ma give them a call tomorrow and see whats going on again. They said they were only waiting on my work and address update and "other than that, everything looks good" I dont know why the lady would say that unless everything was in a positive direction. I'm considering sending it again. Anyone else send off additional documents around June 20th? Maybe they're working on my AIP. -sigh-
