Called CIC to find out if they received my medical exams. So far talked to 4 people, 2 told me they got it. 2 told me they didn´t.

I don´t know how many more times will I have to call to have an accurate answer... it´s been 2 months since medicals were re-done.

I have been asked for Police Certificate. Have you been asked that first and then Medical again? I did attach my medical with the case but it must be expired? I am waiting for my Police Certificate to be received from UK and hopefully i will able to send it about week time. Do you have any idea how long it takes once you have submitted the police certificate?

Ottawa, dont know how is the process speed here.
So even there is no time line for the case, which need additional info. But u can estimate kind of time line from Lab and my case.

I hope so. My bday is October 15th and I would love to receive step 1 and 2 approved as bday present from CIC
My local office is Scarborough, which is supposed to be the slower and busier of Canada lol my luck hehe

I wasn´t asked for the Police Certificate because I haven´t left Canada since I applied (and the certificates were still valid when I sent them). They have asked to re-do medicals 3 months ago.

What all the agents told me is that it takes up to 3 months to update the information in the system.

Hahah, nice to see you again here, I thought you finished long ago missha. Anyway, good news for you is Etobicoke is much faster than Scarborough. You can look at Johnanna's time, she got the landing interview appointment already (just around 1 or 2 weeks after 2nd stage approval). Congrats to you.


Can anyone tell me if I go and get my OHIP now (after AIP and 2nd stage approval but not landing yet), how long the expiry on OHIP card? Do I have to renew it right after getting my PR? Since I should start working soon, I need my health to cover even though I know it's just about 3 more months (1 for landing interview, 2 for waiting PR card) I will finish my application. If I apply for OHIP now, I should get the OHIP card by the time my PR card comes ;D, but still under the cover earlier tho. Working in the winter isn't a good start but nothing to complain to me. Just think about covering my health first.

For SIN, I think I have to apply for now to land on the job, after getting PR, I will change it one more time. Please share me the experience guys!

Okay, since I posted the question, I should answer it now in case someone else needs it.

OHIP:
- Just go the website, download the form and fill it, book an appointment, bring all the proofs with you to Service Ontario. I got OHIP cover from today, no need to wait for 3 months like the first time I came to Canada. The OHIP will expire in 1 year. After I get my PR card, I can extend it anytime.

SIN:
- Since I had SIN before, just bring my OWP to Service Canada, don't even need to fill in the form. Everything was done on the spot. The SIN number is the same as the one I had before.
