Okay so I got a really sad call from my mother last night about one of my dearest grandparents have been diagnosed with cancer. We don't yet know what stage it is, and how bad it is, but I can't live with myself if I don't get to see him before he passes away ( gotta prepare for the worst ) I am aware it's a grey area about leaving when having an inland application on hand, but it's almost inhuman if we aren't allowed to go home and pay respect if somebody's loved one is seriously sick! I'm just past 9 months with no words from CPC-V and that itself is extremely frustrating, but what would the chances be if I traveled home to Denmark and get back a week or two after?!

First stage processing is currently taking 11 months for inland applications which is why you haven't heard anything yet.

Since you are visa exempt, you should have no trouble getting back into Canada. Having said that, there are definitely no guarantees and you are certainly taking a chance by leaving.
