Hi ,

I received the PPR last month and am planning to land in Canada towards the end of Jan 2014.
Me and my husband are currently working in the US ,holding H1-B visas, and we have a son ,who was born in the US and hence is a US citizen by birth .

All three of us have received the CoPR document .But just myself & my husband have the immigrant visa stamped in our passports .
My son doesn't have the immigrant visa stamped on his passport .Is this because he is an american citizen ?Or is this a miss by the officials .

Please let me know if anyone else has faced this situation.

Thanks for your help.

He doesn't require a "stamp" as he is a US citizen, and therefor is visa exempt person.

Just ensure that your son enters Canada with his US passport.

Thank you so much for your responses.

Another question,Is it necessary for my son to have the US passport book or will the US passport card suffice ?

Since December 1, 2011, CIC has ceased affixing visas in passports of applicants for permanent residence whose applications have been accepted and who are from visa exempt countries, which is the case of your son.
