Hi guys

I just want a guidance on where to look, not too much details.

If I land in Canada and become a PR under federal EE then collect my PR card and leave Canada to go home country to get married, which program/route should I follow to bring my wife to be to Canada permanently?

Please guide me

Family sponsorship. It will take a year or so.

I'd really like to, but currently I am in the UK. If I go back home and get married before landing (which should have a validity till 1st Nov 2017) it'd be extremely difficult to finalize papers, mainly because back home is going through a lot of unrest and civil war. This means that my next option for local visa office is Paris, hence more time and cost that I might even risk my landing and miss the deadline before adding my wife to be to my application.

I guess my best option is just to land, go back and get married then go back again to Canada and apply for her sponsorship as it requires a PR to be in Canada physically to sponsor his spouse.

But this raises another question: can I bring my wife to be on a visit visa for example after submitting the whole sponsorship application?

If you opt for family sponsorship, the process will take a year and you will end up living apart. Getting your wife to Canada while her sponsorship is underway is possible but a temporary resident visa is valid for a short term and if you dont get your sponsorship until then, your wife will have to return on expiry of the temporary resident visa. Also, your wife wont be able to work while she is in Canada on a temporary resident visa.

Your wife can apply for a TRV but there is a very good chance it will be refused.

You must be living in Canada in order to sponsor your spouse.

So as explained above, there's a good chance you and your spouse will have to be separated while the application is processed.

Thanks guys. So it IS possible to apply for temporary visit visa after submitting an application for sponsorship, good.

But scylla I wonder why it is possible to get rejected for a vsiit visa if she will have the proper funds and dcoumenation, any good reasons?
