How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

Just to make sure, did CIC asked you some document or finger print or anything you might think of, before sending passport request. That might be a delaying thing? In my case CIC asked for finger prints before asking for passports. I replied to them I never been to Canada and I am in USA, why I need RCMP finger printing and police report. After that email, I got passport request.
It is 7 weeks now I haven't got my passports back, I am guessing that may be the reason of delay in sending passports back. Any one whose passports are delayed going through similar situation?

I send my finger printing rcmp report in nov.I dont think that is the case for anyone whose passports are stuck at cpp

I got my passport back and did my landing yesterday Finally a PR after living for 7 years in Canada..

Since my spouse is in India, I sent the passport to India through one of my relatives. Now my question is that since it says on the passport that visa issued at CPP Ottawa, do you think the immigration officers at Delhi airport might cause trouble because this means that my wife got visa in absentia (which is not allowed according to Indian rules)?

Can anyone whose spouse came from India please share his/her experience?
