Hello, all Experts,
How does IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) define and count working hours to assess employment duration or work experience in immigration applications?"
I started working on June 5, 2023, as a full-time employee and am still working, but I would like to apply for PR as I am done with my 1-year experience. My question is approximately when I will be done and how IRCC counts hours because I have taken a lump-sum 15 days of unpaid leave (1 week in July, 2-3 days in Nov, and 1 week in Mar).
a) According to my pay stubs, I have worked for 1200 hours, for which I need to work for 3 more months.
b) June 5, 2023 to June 5, 2024 + 15 days for unpaid leave.
Which one is correct?
OR
if anybody can direct me to the page/thread where I can find the answer.
Thank you in Advance for all of your guidance and time ;)

b)

You need to have 52 separate weeks where you worked at least 30 hours.

Thankyou for your response
And what about the weeks I have worked 29 hours or 24 hours will that count towards 1560 hours or that is all sort of wasted?
For most of the weeks, I am talking, i took leave for last 3 days of the weeks; i worked 3 days and half shift for 4th day so does that counts or i wasted the whole week by doing that?
1/2 week in week 1 + 1/2 week in week 2 = 1 week
please help I am so confused

This is how you do the calculation:

1) For each week you worked 30 hours or more, count each week as 1 week of work experience.
2) For each week you worked less than 30 hours, add up the total number of hours and divide by 30.

When the two above numbers add up to 52, you have a full year of work experience.
