How I organized our applcation and a summary of all helpful tips I have learned

hmmm honestly i'm not sure about that, in my case, i just arrived here in January and when I mailed off the application, i didn't have a job yet, so I wasn't able to submit Option C, T4, paysilps or anything like that. I just provided an explanation on how to support myself and letters from family that they will support me for the meantime, and email printouts as evidence that I was actively looking for a job in Canada. Then two weeks after mailing the application off, I got a job, so now I am going to send an employment letter / job cert as an update of info.

My husband was actually saying that to me, that it *may* help that our application was very organized.. I told him yeah maybe.. but don't count on it, but I really hope so.. and if it does.. well that would be so so great ! ;D

Would it be okay to paste photos onto an A4 paper with captions? I also plan to put information on the back of each photo, just to be on the safe side. The cost of printing photos is pretty cheap where I live, so that's not an issue.

You can paste them on A4 paper, but people usually just print them on A4 paper. Just loose with info on the back is OK too.

As for the supporting documents, or proof of relationship, is it okay to duplicate these for the sponsored person and sponsor forms where it asks to provide additional proof? The country specific guide checklists says to include proof of relationship, but so does the sponsor checklist, so I am a bit confused...

You only need one copy of supporting docs and relationship proof. You can put it all at the end, in some sort of order.

Hi! canadianwoman is right, sorry I missed your post the first time.
For proof of rel'p, we just made one set and presented them in the third envelope so as to present is as a separate set of docs from the sponsor's and applicant's which is implying that the proofs are for both of us =)

The principal applicant is the person being sponsored.

I think it needs to be fixed at the top of the page =) My personal opinion. I've come back to this on numerous times while putting this huge application together. Can't thank u enough!

What red tabs did u use? Do u know the name or the info cuz all the ones I'm finding say they could mark up the paper. Is this just something u tried or did the pack actually say it didnt stick?

they just say they "could" leave a mark as a disclaimer, but I've been using them many years in the office and they usually don't leave marks =)

thank you for setting this up. One question: Do you know how to prepare an extra paper that is being sent separately after the big package? Is a simple envelope with the extra papers and our names enough?
