Funds available for my stay (CAD) - IMM 5708e

I'm applying for a 6-month extension to my father's visitor status and am not entirely sure what to enter for the question Funds available for my stay (CAD). My father has savings in a non-Canadian bank account that cover his expenses. Am I able to enter the full amount of his savings, converted to CAD, and provide the foreign bank statements as proof?

Alternatively, I am able to support him and could indicate myself as paying his expenses but I am not sure how I would go about specifying an amount of funds available for his stay? Providing proof of income (statements, NOAs etc) for myself isn't an issue.

Do you think there is any preference to specifying my father's foreign funds or myself as the source of funds?

Yes, this is the right answer to this question :- Amount of his savings, converted to CAD and provide the foreign bank statements as proof.

Rest you are mentioning all your support in covering letter so no need to be worry about that.
