Funds available for my stay (CAD) - IMM 5708e

I'm applying for a 6-month extension to my father's visitor status and am not entirely sure what to enter for the question Funds available for my stay (CAD). My father has savings in a non-Canadian bank account that cover his expenses. Am I able to enter the full amount of his savings, converted...

IRCC questionnaire giving option to apply for Super Visa in Canada

I additionally found this on the help icon of the question that asked if my parent came to Canada on a Super Visa: So it seems the stay can be extended up to 2 years, it's just that I can't find any info about this being an option anywhere (Canada Gov. websites, forums, internet). There also...

IRCC questionnaire giving option to apply for Super Visa in Canada

I went online to extend the stay of one of my parents as a visitor in Canada beyond 6 months using the information here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/extend-stay.html Initially I did this with the expectation I was just applying for a...

    Canadian Passport

+1. Also you get your ID and Citizenship Certificate back straight away if you do it at a Passport Canada office. I did it in Vancouver and it was very efficient. The process/waiting at the office took about 45 minutes and then I got the passport about 6 business days later.

anyone that wrote his test in November 2014 in Vancouver got the oath letter?

I just thought it was worth sharing that I took my test at the end of October in Vancouver and had my oath in December, and ecas has never been updated to show the oath letter was sent. Ecas only shows that they sent me the test letter and then the next entry is that I received citizenship. The...

Journey ends with a new beginning! :-)

Congratulations! I too took my oath on 19th December. It was a really nice ceremony with 82 new citizens from 19 countries. Likewise I have been one of the lucky ones, with the whole process just taking a few days over six months from the date I sent my application. I hope everyone here who is...

    June 2014 Citizenship Application.

You can request urgent pickup, which is an additional $110 fee, if you apply in person at a Passport Canada Office. That's a 24 hour turnaround, but you need to have proof of travel and "acceptance is at the discretion of the passport officer"! I believe the offices are open between Christmas...

    International travellers

I requested entry/exits records for the countries I visited that didn't stamp my passport. One of them was my home country which I had the most visits to. The citizenship officer did use them to check my residence calculator dates, but only after I mentioned I had them. You can find details of...

    June 2014 Citizenship Application.

https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html. I found the US entry data to be accurate, but the exit data was in a lot of cases incorrect (doesn't really matter if you have the Canadian CBSA report as well).

Application delivered to 47 Dorchester Street instead of 49 Dorchester Street?

No problem. I had the same heart-stopping moment when I saw the proof of delivery on my application, but it was all good in the end! Best of luck

Application delivered to 47 Dorchester Street instead of 49 Dorchester Street?

I sent my application via Fedex back in June and same happened to me. Don't worry about it's gone to the right place, I've got my oath this week. :)

In person passport application and identification documents

If you go to a Passport Canada location to submit your passport application in person, do they inspect and return original identification documents immediately or are they returned with your Canadian passport once it is ready. I see the alternative is to have the guarantor sign photocopies but I...

What happens if one applies for Citizenship then has to leave for extended period

The intent to reside clause is not in effect. See the current version of the Citizenship Act and "Amendments Not In Force". The intent to reside amendment is listed there. http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-29/nifnev.html

anyone that wrote his test in November 2014 in Vancouver got the oath letter?

As you've probably seen me already mention, ecas is proving pretty unreliable for me. I've had the mailed Oath notice for close to two weeks and ecas still isn't showing anything. So my advice is to just keep checking the mailbox! :)

I took the test right at the end of October and have my oath next week. The letter came a couple of weeks back. November test takers your time will be very soon!!
