This is my first post here. I have been a silent listener for a while. And you guys are doing a fantastic job. I enjoyed the humour, the panic and the frustration expressed sometimes by members. I think I am kind of addicted to this forum.

I am a Nigerian in the diaspora, while I found the initial post about Nigerian scam distasteful, I don't think any one should be hung up on that. We should respect the diversity in this forum.

And to my fellow Nigerians I give you a quote from our national anthem

" though tribe an tongue may differ, in brotherhood we stand" and in my case in sisterhood I stand .

I also faced the same problem, then I realized there remains some hidden space while you copy paste CIC email address in your email "TO" section.

My suggestion, do not copy paste email. Try to write complete email address manually, do not copy paste. you will be able to send.

I have a little concern please. The place of birth on my child's int'l passport is different from what is on his birth certificate. Can this affect my application or should I just go ahead and do court affidavit ? Even though my file is with my Local Visa Office now and I've been requested to update my record.

Just was trying some options and found a solution. Please use any mail client in communicating with them. I just used Mozilla Thunderbird sent them an email and immediately got the automated reply.

hi, AhmedFouad. what was written in the automated reply? my e-mail finally went through because i manually typed the e-mail address (did not copy-paste). well, i mean, i didn't get an error message this time, so i'm guessing my e-mail was sent successfully. however, i did not get an autoresponse either.

Hello guys,

I am seeing many applications are getting rejected due to "job duties are not matching with Lead statement". I want help from senior members to understand about how important the lead statement is and what is its relevance? If the Job duties are matching but lead statements are not exactly matching then what are the chances to get the file rejected?

For your letter to "match the job duties" means to match the lead statement and the job duties section of the NOC page. Match as many as you can while remaining honest.

guys, what is a lead statement in the reference letter ?

The lead statement of an NOC is the top paragraph on the NOC description page, giving general nature of the job.

Does anyone know the time of the day when they start charging CCs? I'm July 8th applicant and asking that to know if I should go to check my charges now or should wait for tomorow morning. It's 15.00 in my country now...

last CC charge was July 4 as far as I know, just wait a few more day, right now CIC is sleeping....

Hy all
i need ur help. . i intend to apply for two NOCs. i applied for NOC 2132 and now wish to apply for another NOC.

Problem is that i worked with same employer for 4 years where i performed duties of both NOCs and got reference letter for NOC 2132 stating my 4 years time period in organization and responsibilities but only those responsibilities are written on referenc letter that qualify NOC 2132.

my question is that what should be the pattern and format of new referenc letter to qualify other NOC as i already have got referenc letter for NOC 2132?

i also wish to avoid any scam or dout in mind of visa officer. kindly advice me.

So you did both NOCs, but got a reference letter mentioning only the duties of 2132? Now you want to get a reference letter for the other NOC for the same job, same time period, same employer?

I don't see any way to do this. Doing this casts your qualification under either NOC into doubt.
