Looking at several people's timelines, i see that NDVO is taking ~60 days from the date of PPR to update the applicant with DM. And it is pretty quicker in other countires VO's.

Why didnt i received MR mail on the same day my ecas is updated.. :'(

you may or may not receive the mail on the same day... there is no set procedure in this regard. some applicants get mail first and then status update on ecas. some get status update first and then get the mail in few days. but some applicants like me are handpicked by the fairy.... they get the status update and then wait for over 15 days and still dont get any mail. they are the ones who pray !!! ;D ;D

I agree that luck and CIC officer plays an important role in deciding the outcome of an application. BTW there is another example also

The missing form sent to CIO with an explicative letter appeared to be worthless as my initial were returned to me the 27th of december.
Whereas I've got confirmation of delivery of my second mail at CIO, I did not get any feedback/mention about it from CIO (neither by email nor as part of the returned package).
My guess is that, as CIO does not put in place a formal process for such a service, those applications updates are systematically ignored.

Anyway, now, I have re-sent my application on the 1st feb that was received and signed by M C the 7th.
