Frustration!

Good morning everyone!!!

My husband (applicant) and I have been waiting to hear from CIC. They required a form and we got it done right away and it's been almost a month and we haven't heard anything yet. They received our application May 31, 2013. We are getting so frustrated and just want this over and done with. Anyone with a similar timeline and still waiting for a response???

The timeline for applications in Ottawa is 15 months and we have passed that timeline. Just getting frustrated.....

I have requested GCMS notes and everything has passed they were just waiting for that form. My next step is to contact our MP again.

In our VO they also increased timeline is 15 months. ..there are lots of applicants who received ADR requests for last 2 or 3 months. ..but still waiting. ..already medical expires but no news from dere side...

so its better to ask ur MP to find out whats the delay on ur file. ..
your status is AR or IP. ..?

I just contacted our MP so now we wait again.

then don't worry you will received answer soon. ..maybe in a few days you will also received remedical request. ..bcoz as ur timeline ur medical already expires. ...

I contacted CIC before they expired and they extended the medicals. I also got a response back from the MP office and that was useless. All because we sent the form a month ago we need to wait 90 days from when it was sent in order for the MP to inquire about our application.

This is ridiculous! We had everything and everyone I know that has gone through this didn't wait this long. This is all so discouraging.....

I've already ordered my GCMS notes numerous times all it says is that everything has passed! I agree with you that their total processing system is a shame. I get that there are numerous applications but their response time is terrible! It just makes me even angrier nothing has happened and we have been waiting 15 months now and I'm 16 weeks pregnant.

immigration can be a VERY bumpy ride. Stay positive and never give up !

I get that there are numerous applications but their response time is terrible! It just makes me even angrier nothing has happened and we have been waiting 15 months now and I'm 16 weeks pregnant.

aawww then thats a gud news dear...in this situation don't take stress its harmful for ur baby. ..
just keep one thing in mind dat according to notes if everything is passed and ur status is IP then nothing to worry about in a few weeks ur husband sure get his visa...the gud thing is before ur due date he will b wid you...so don't take stress. ..

I was also pregnant and give birth to a baby boy..now he is 8 months old. ..but I m still waiting for my visa...his dad is alone in Canada but dere is nothing we can do....in my case everything is done...my son already obtained his Canadian citizenship and passport. ...he is ready to go...but these morons stretched my case...its makes me so angry. ..

feel so sorry for the both of you..

what i fail to fathom is this.. the same VO takes 9 months to process some case and 13 months to process another(rksandhu) and without providing any apparent reason. i have dealt with the candian government on numerous occasions.. there is so much transparency everywhere, excepting immigration. i understand this department needs tight regulation, but in a country with such a huge percentage of immigrants, you would have expected better rights to information..

congratulations on your pregnancy foster. take care of yourself and dont worry. things will look up for you soon. an all the best rksandhu. hope you get some good news soon.

Yes sbag_in you would think with the amount of immigrants here they would communicate better but what can you do.

I think there is an obvious reason in Foster's case (even if CIC hasn't specifically said so). Foster's spouse has a dependent minor child who has been excluded from the application. Unfortunately this always creates significant delays for an application because CIC is extremely reluctant to exclude a dependent minor child from future sponsorship.
