I noticed you applied since Nov 2010. I didn't know that there are still Nov 2010 QSW applicants left in this forum ???
Have you ever tried to get in touch with Buffalo at all? If so, what are they saying? and What's your ecas status right now?

Yes, I contacted them and they replied the typical answer. My ecas says In process, and precess started on 4th of april.

To answer your questions, I applied Nov. 2010 and I have a friend who applied 15 days after me but he did not get passport requests yet. I read online that they have put new quotas on immigrants from North African countries so my guess is that this is the main cause. Another thing that came to my attention via the MP is that they did "Criminal Checks" at the end of the process. What struck me more is the fact that they started processing my application on Feb. 2012 which 14 months after I applied. My application was complete and there were no missing documents.

i noticed that it took u 53 days to complete medical test, after cic requested, it might be the reason of ur slow process (u r supposed to have the medical results delivered to cic within 60 days)

a feine a khay, am in Canada. I just sent in the passports this week and waiting for the VISA. I believe you've done the same thing, right ?
Anyone knows how long it takes to get the passports back ?

Wa Alykum salam Br. I am in the USA. Buffalo asked me to submit my wife FBI. so You know, It will take another couple of months.
I realized that they start processing our application min one year after we submit them. Thus, even if you got the medical request, this does not mean that they checked your file if it is complete or not.
Could you please tell me how to contact the MP? Or this is only for people in Canada?

I did not hear anything from them after I did my medicals. I e-mailed them in April, but I got the standard automated response. Right now, all I am doing is waiting, and planning to send an E-mail on June 1st. Hope we all here will get some good news soon. Dont worry,
you will hear something from them soon.

Most probably the files are going to be trasnferred. It depends when is Buffalo actually closing.

next month they will announce, and it is said that they will close it at the end of June, 2012

and all files r transferred to NY visa office, causing pileup of cases, and very likely, delay!
