Your absolutely right…… thank you… I will go ahead and look for a lawyer to help me…. But I’m really exhausted at this point but I still have hope since my application is still moving forward…. But can I marry my common law partner would that change anything
I don't think this would change your situation at all.

Yes, CBSA could still remove you.

Okay……. But what if I passed first stage because right now I’m just waiting for immigration…. Would this deportation affect my application?
You don't have AIP so you could still be removed.

I do not apply for that I’ve been in Canada for 5 years and I’ve worked and have a very experienced in some fields but my wife is sponsoring me…… but if the CBSA insists would they let me go with my family? I can’t leave my son or my wife here alone to suffer

AIP is a step in the inland spousal sponsorship process. You don't apply for it. If you end up being forced to leave Canada, your family can certainly leave with you.

What’s the update on your case.
That's his update. Doesn't look like he got a lawyer to help him.
His case is complex and he did already try to obtain PR status with marriage before (which the relationship failed and I think the sponsorship didn't proceed).
If he got deported before his inland sponsorship is at AIP/finished, the application would be cancelled.

Hi everyone, would be great if I get a response regarding my spousal sponsorship application, although I got a deportation order but didn’t leave Canada, but my partner is sponsoring me, I submitted spousal sponsorship which already 8 months this month but I called immigration today the guy said they working on my background checks, also stated that some part of the background check is passed and when I asked what’s not passed but refused to disclose that to me, I’m just wondering if anyone know if I should apply for an Arc application since my spousal application is still in process.. please, I’m exhausted about this whole thing, I have a baby with my partner barely a months old. The CBSA guy called me and said I violated immigration legislation. I don’t even know what to do at this point. I thought I could be free from them after an AOR first stage approval but I don’t think that works either

How long does it take to get AOR for Inland Spousal Sponsor Application? I submitted my wife's application on April 4th, 2024, and still have not received any update about AOR.

Thank you in advance.
