Hi everyone,

i applied my PR as common-law inland and got the first approval in Sep. 2010
but i haven't heard anything since then...
i am wondering if it normally takes this much long or anybody has the same situation..
when i check online status, it's showing that they sent me the first letter and received medical result
but that's it.. it's not mentioning about other documents like police check or any other detailed status
i sent all the required documents when i applied and haven't been told to send any extra documents so far..
please share any ideas or give me some advices..
thanks!

When did you send your app ?

I'll suggest you to order FOSS to understand what's going on at CIC (you can find lots of info about FOSS here)

Check out the INLANDERS 2010 thread, some people have PR and they applied in June last year and there are some people who applied in Jan 2009 and are still waiting...... I got AIP in Oct so a month after you and I am still waiting. I would give CIC a call and see if they have anything to say but yes order FOSS notes as AmandaHsu advised. The second stage can take 9 months which would be June for you.

Good luck!

Hi AmandaHsu,

i sent my app in Dec 2009 and got AIP in Sep 2010.
I was checking more info about foss and saw this message below.

"Normally, it is not recommended to order "IN CANADA FILE (FOSS included)" since this requires that the paper file is taken out of storage and may affect processing times. The FOSS notes alone are usually sufficient."

I don't know if i should request foss or just wait until june.
Thank you for your advise.

AIP MAY 2010 ONLY 5 months for the first stage aproval but the request for my elder son..police certificates, medical etc.was asked
every 3 months(something I don't understand)
Finally my ecas changue to Decision made 2 weeks a go and I got a Call from Vegreville confirming everything is done and I still waiting for the letter to have my landing interview..hope very soon!!!

Thats why its better to order the FOSS notes only not the In Canda file. when you fill out the form tick the box that says:

FOSS (informtion in Canada)

not

IN CANDA FILE (FOSS INCLUDED)

I called Immigration office yesterday
and was told that it's very normal processing time to take 7 months for the second step.
And they also said requesting FOSS will not make any difference at this time
so better just wait until June because 9 months is the max of the second step and i still have two more months to go.
Do you also think i better just relax and wait until june and recontact them if i don't have the result by that time?
Please share your opinions anybody has the same situation like me.
