documents to be attached with the work permit application (from uk)

Hi all,
I am looking forward to file the work permit from uk to london Canadian embassy. I have queries about documents that are to be submitted with the work permit application.

education certificates
Check list says to submit "copies of relevant education certificates"
So does this mean I just need to submit the - just photocopies of the education certificates or
- notarised photocopies of the certificates

employment references
Checklist says to submit "employment references outlining previous jobs"
Can any body tell me about the format of the reference letters they are expecting?

I have just sent in my application for canadian work permit to the london office.Most of the documents they require areassport photographs,credentials,visa page,passport page,LMO,police certificate,po,employment letter,form IMM 1295,form IMM 5257;to be completed by applicant and dependant including spouse with age more than 18 years,form IMM 5645;to be completed by spouse and applicant,proof of fund and all other relevant documents like marriage certificate if you are married and proof of change of name if need be.

Try and notarise your copies if you can,as i did notarise mine.Wsh you best of luck.
