Senior My questions are :
1. Job opportunities in Canada for Tourism Instructor.
2. Should i go to Canada if i am having a government job in India and our family income is around 60,000 per month?

This is a very subjective question, inflation in India is also increasing rapidly, ur salary is ok but ur Govt job is good, the question u need to ask is Would u b able to start frm scratch, lead a very hard life?? Well once settled, life shd b fine specially for the future of ur next generation, ur age also matters a lot, moreover, those who r living a hard life in their own country, its a bit easy after coming to Canada as compared to those living a well set life, as urs, the decision has after all b urs, u hve t tke d call, remember many people lose all their lifes savings in just d first year of entering Canada, so u need to make a concrete decision, the best option can be, u dont resign and wind up, but go to Canada and experience it urself and then tke ur call.....

2 - if you are undecided about coming to canada, why did you apply for immigration?

You cannot be guaranteed a job in your field here. If you have a good paying position that is guaranteed in India and you are happy there than thats where I would stay.

Do a complete search on job requirements for tourism in Canada and the availabilty according to province.

Its a risk and only you can decide whether you want to take the risk or not. You cannot live 2 lives..so you have to give up your life back home and try to establish yourself here if you want to move (keeping in mind that you might have to start from scratch)....or the other option is to give up canada and stay home.

The beginning is very tough regardless of your profession back home, your experience, your education background or language skills, no matter how good you were back home - you will be challenged once you are here....because they don't know you, you are a "nobody" here unless you work your way through and prove yourself on your own.

Nobody can guarantee a job, even if you have friends here - they can only give advices or share their experiences, but most likely they will not be able to help you in getting a job here. So having friends or not is not very crucial in deciding to move.

If you are really uncertain, you can do your landing first and you will have around 2 and a half years (i dont want to say 3 years) to think and decide whether to move permanently or not.

The major deciding factor is your "goal"....what was the reason you applied to canada for? Was it to make money? Or was it because you want to live in a better country? Or because you want better future opportunities for your kids? If moving here will achieve your goal then its a yes, if it will not ...then its a no. See, its very simple. You know what you want, so you should be able to decide.

Here is a link describing the different jobs in tourism in Canada. Some have listed average wages. Find the one you are trained for and see if it has the same requirements and desired income.

Ek toh pr milta nahi easily .jinko mila hey nautanki bana diya. .well those applicant who don't intend to migrate or have second thought shouldnt apply for pr .I simply don't understand wasting a chance of other applicant waiting for years to get a approval. These guys should have researched about Canada prior to submission of application. No one can live two live at a time. Many citizenship fraud are happening these days.Rules get tougher because few people misutilize the system.

Well, my views differ here, Canada earlier promised to immigrate within a year, that has taken more than 3 year now, and in 3 years, many things change, particularly for people who are in their young age. Moreover, the recession and its after effects have shattered the way the lives in these countries looked earlier. So people would have made a concrete decision to migrate, but due to the economy downturn and specially the way the entire immigration process takes place, specially for MI-1's is very disturbing. Here a highly qualified person has to wait longer as compared to a vocationally skilled person to be granted Visas'.

Your income here translates to about $1150 canadian dollars per month. You can't live on that here. In most major cities that will barely cover your rent. Probably better to stay in India.

1. Job opportunities in Canada for Tourism Instructor.
For immigrants, any teaching job is very difficult to get. It's difficult even for Canadians born in Canada . First you need to have a local degree; however this doesn't guarantee employment in the field.

This thread may give you an idea:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/searching-for-a-teaching-job-in-canada-pls-help-t131456.0.html

If you decide to leave everything at home and come to Canada, be prepared to reinvent yourself. It's not impossible to make a decent living and live a better life but you need to be ready to start from zero.

Keep asking questions and reading others' experiences; then think carefully before making the move.

Good luck!

I totally agree with shakira. I thought before coming here that teaching job would be accessible as in most countries people prefer private sector over academia. Also, I have 3 years of experience at a UK university which ranks 53 rd in the world. But I have not found a teaching job here. Even When I fill out application forms, I am asked for the credential evaluation by the ministry of immigration, although post secondary teachers are not required to hold any official permit in this province, i.e. credential evaluation is not formally necessary. From my experience It seems that employers are sceptical towards any foreign degree.

I hate to keep bringing this up but you landed less than a month ago. Did you expect that there would be a job waiting for you?
So many immigrants have this false sense that Canada is devoid of skilled workers of their own. What your credentials offer you is the opportunity to compete with the rest of the Canadian population. You are searching for something specific that will take a long time to find.
