Here is the situation:
Everything is done, approved etc. I called CIC yesterday and they told me the COPR had been sent out Friday 8/4 and I should have received it by now. Especially when you factor in that I sent a pre-paid FedEx envelope to them.
OK, so let's say it got sent to the "mail room" on Friday, but didn't get looked at. Monday was a civic holiday, so maybe it got sent out on Tuesday. Still, FedEx should have the tracking number in their system by now. But they don't as of this morning and all the (very nice) lady at CIC could tell me is it's out of their hands now, application closed etc.
So I guess my questions are, is this unheard of? Do they ever lose stuff in the "mail room"? How much longer should I give it?
This is very frustrating. We are now at the point where we have to look for a place to live, apply for jobs, give notice to our present employers etc. and I am loathe to do that without that COPR in our hands.
Sorry for that little venting/rant at the end.
Has anybody had a similar experience? Things happen...remember the movie "Castaway"? Do they ever send replacement COPRs?
