I only received an email saying they started working on my file on Jan 4th. i'm the sponsor. they received my package on Dec 20th.

ECAS says they have started the process for my wife on 13th Feb. Is it an indication of AOR2?

Haha. Yeah just forget the marriage and life with your spouse ya know, who care's about vetting people. Honestly, the old process used to take a lot longer. I wouldn't give up just yet. If you are a Dec 23rd applicant I would file a request to see the status of your application. Give the CIC a call perhaps? Best wishes!

Your visa office will send AOR2 through email or mail direct to your wife.

We sent our application December 29th and we're still waiting for SA. I know exactly how you are feeling. I find it so unbelievably frustrating (and kind of infuriating) that some people are getting sponsor approval about five minutes after submitting their applications while others have been waiting a long time. It really doesn't seem fair. Hang in there.

And, yeah, it might be a good idea to give them a call.

Consider it as AOR2. They started processing mine on 23rd January but to date still no AOR2 received. Still hoping I would get one so I know the initials of the officer that first opened my file in my VO

Hello All,

We just received an email from CIC saying there are missing documents:
Proof of Relationship to Sponsor:
o Residential Documents two (2) of the following three (3) sets of
options:

 Minimum one (1) joint residential document.
 Minimum one (1) joint utilities document (electricity, gas, telephone).
 Important document for you and your sponsor showing the same address, such as copies of Government issued identification documents (driver's licenses, insurance policies, etc).

The following is our case background:
1. My husband is the sponsor
2. We currently live in Saudi Arabia together

Question is: our housing and utilities are provided by the company where my husband works. We had submitted a document provided by the company stating this to CIC, however they are still asking for the same. There is no other document that states both our names on them.
Additionally, we had also submitted the Residency visa (iqama) for both which clearly states that I am here on his sponsor/guardianship.

Can anyone help us with our problem of what document we can further submit to CIC? What did you guys in similar situations subbmit ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Does anyone know what the process is if my husband (the PA) needs to renew his american passport and update CIC with his new info? I think it expires in September so I think he might need to renew it before they request it? Looks like we might have to expedite it..

don't give up yet! it's really frustrating but you will get there.

when my partner sponsored me to become an Australian PR i found it alot less stressful. i didn't have a website to check every day and other people's processes to compare to. i just had to wait. i ended up waiting 6 months without any contact. to be honest i think it was better to be kept in the dark haha

I've actually stopped checking because I'm just so annoyed that nothing is happening. I'm a lot happier and I don't think about it as much.
