Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

Unfortunately, this is the second terrorist attack happened during the last month in Damascus. First one happened a few weeks back killing 40+ innocent ppl and this one causing the death of 25+. Its really absurd! The very bad experience of Iraqis is now being repeated in Syria.

yes the second cmconb happened today so far 35 people died ....it is getting worst may god bring peace into peoples heart.
im happy that my husband is here but what about everyone else ....we still worry and hope it gets better for everyone my in laws cousins and complete strangers may they all be safe .

ya ramz on sunday if they dont phone him than well phone and i hope they answer.no emails just decsion made on both,for him it was jan3.me as sponserer was feb1 2011.arazeo you always make us smile,i hope your done by narooz,is that april?as for A+M,i hope you could tell your kids soon that your baba is coming.mine were happy but the younger ones kind of forgot him.its just getting worse in syria,please god stop all this blood.

It started from the day your application has been received by damascus office.

Check your e-cas, it says: "We received *********'s application for permanent residence on *****.

The date mentioned there is starting point.


By the way, client ID is not what you received after submitting your sponsorship application. you've got Client ID since you landed in Canada.

Are you sure that is when the date we start counting? Can anyone else confirm that please cause I am also confused of when I should start counting!

The 13 months to process 80% of cases is based on the time Damascus has it, therefore starting when they receive the file from Mississauga.

From my understanding i start counting from the 11th of October, correct?

Yes we have to count the 13 months from the day that Damascus receives our documents.

yup. I'm pretty sure. I received an email couple of weeks ago mentioned that:

"This application was received in our office on *******. Our objective is to finalize these cases within 13 months of the date of receipt."

Is your application received by Damascus or not ? you are able to check it on you e-cas.


Here is the processing time table for sponsorship applications.

what I realized from your post, step 1 is done for you. " IF" your application is received by damascus, then you are in STEP 2. Therefore from processing timetable, 13 months is average waiting time for step 2.
