and by the way i saw the Thread of July post, and saw that some pple got their approval emil and their application were recived on july 19th...so I think that the information on the CIC's website isnt exactly 100%, bcoz they wrote that they are wonking on application recived on july 15th,,, but other people who applied on july 19th got their approval emil today......so lets hope that will always be like that

i think im like the only one who calls her nagham, everyone calls her nagz hha, so yeah the infamous nagham is nagz

Hi everyone,

I am one of the silent reader for the past 2 weeks. I was happy to find this forum so I can know more about the situation in damascus embassy. I am from montreal, quebec. I spousal my wife. This is my timeline. I send my file to missisauga on novembre 10, 2010. Damascus start to study my file on december 15, 2010. I receive nothing from them until the septembre 19, 2011. They ask for the residency questionnary. The original of the mariage certificate, family record and the Individual record of civil status of my wife. The think I dont understand is that when you send your file to missisauge they ask only for the copy of those with the translation. The only original paper that they ask is the security certificate.

I hope that soon most of us will have the passport request because all of that become very depressive. I have 4 of my frend who spousal there wife between 2008 and 2009 and its take around 6 mounth for all of them. I have one of them who take only 3 mounth all the process. I got the bad luck to spousal my wife in this time.

hi hab and welcome to the forum . I am Also sponsoring my husband from Quebec since november 2010. how come they only asked you for the questionnaire in september!? and second thing when you sent your file to misisisaugua they are supposed to check of the documents are correct!! thirdly I too thought that the only original document to be sent is the police certificate . but I think they want the original certificate in Arabic/Persian plus the original certified translation and for the rest of docs they want all the original translation ? by the way where is your wife living ?

I don't think anyone would ask for you original marriage certificate! it's a timely process to get a new one!!

so they are asking you for the original ekhraj el eid and original ekhraj eid for the family? or original of the certified translated documents ?

when u enter to the forum, click on profile, then on the extreme left, there's an option called "forum profile information", when u enter it, u'll find the category signature where u'll have to copy paste the BBC code u find in the daisypath after having created ur signature (in the category called forum signature).

My husband is going to apply for a student visa in November and the embassy in Tehran wants to keep his passport for 10 weeks, there's no way he will get ppr from Damascus in November/December, right?!
