Hi,

Is there anybody in this forum who does daily commute to US while on h1b? If yes, can you send me you email id in Personal message. It would be nice if you share your experience with me. I am planning to move to Canada and commute to work.

Thanks.

You should tell us what your status is in Canada. Are you a Canadian citizen? Permanent resident? None of these?

Whether people's experiences are relevant to your situation will very largely depend on the answer...

I am permanent resident of Canada. I got it in early 2011 and want to keep it, so planning to move to Canada. It is difficult find a job in my field in Canada and I am already working in Detroit area so thinking about moving to windsor and commute daily. My concern is around the border crossing time and if people on H1B have any difficulties commuting daily to US. I searched some old posts and looks like some people are doing it, so I am hoping they can provide some info.

note that if you have full time employment outside Canada, you will have a hard time renewing your PR card or applying for citizenship, even if you meet all your requirements. It will make CIC suspicious and RQ you.
