Thanks RH Yay that means ours was complete, whew! ;D Gosh we went over it and over it so many times, checking and rechecking and checking again. Guess it paid off, well so far anyhow :-\

also remember, even though an application is considered "complete", CIC can STILL request forms to be redone. a common request is for the applicant's personal history to be redone, based on whether enough background was given or if there are "breaks" in the history originally given. it's really dependant on the visa office, the officer and each application.

Just an update here, even if it's not a real update. After receiving a bad CoPR, I returned it to Ottawa for URGENT processing, they received it on January 12th. Up to now I didn't get a new CoPR and have to land in a week (I am in Canada luckily). At this point I had to contact our MP again, and she said there is no information that they did anything on my file after receiving a wrong CoPR, although I had a DIRECT person address where to send it back, and they said they will be expecting it. They are inquiring with Ottawa now. I will keep you posted!

My point, if you are waiting for something from Ottawa, and it is taking long, don't be surprised.

And all the data was correct, they just needed to reprint it and stick a photo again. 5 min of work. I lost it and actually responded that they should have requested the passport in the first place when MP asked them what they need me to send back to get a new CoPR.

I know at least someone opened it rather than just returning it to sender as the tracking number in Montreal is from the envelope to send it back to me. ???

Oh, if your return number appeared in the post system, that means they probably sent it to you. If it's so, you got lucky...They didn't respond to my e-mails either, but funny thing, after MP contacted them, they replied to the e-mail I sent.

i will, fingers crossed that I get it today. We had it sent to my previous address (at my in-laws) that they had because after all the other stuff I wasn't going to bother changing it so it's due in today and hopefully they fixed it.

Holy Crap. This is big time news!!! I'm psyched for you. We all should start barking up the chain. Someone's ineptitude and/or negligence is causing serious problems. They are way understaffed and the staff they have doesn't seem to know what they are doing. Makes me want to apologize to you and I'm not the one who screwed up. A person should not have to send terse emails, make phone calls or go in person to get them to do their jobs.

I'm glad you weren't rude. Some people are right off the bat which obviously is not helpful. I got mine and they had changed it. So hoping and praying you hear something soon. Fingers crossed for you.

Well, I would have been if I didn't let myself cool down for an hour before writing that e-mail Rude never helps, so I like to calm down, and then react.

When is it acceptable to contact your MP in regards to your application?
Honestly,we haven't been waiting an over average amount of time (since June),so there's nothing strange about the amount of time we've been waiting...

But I just feel like doing as much as I can.i mean,my Medicals have expired,We've emailed them numerous times and they haven't bothered to reply.we've all payed a lot of money to apply,and I feel they should at least reply to our emails.

I recently had my firearms licence approved here in Canada,and their office seems to be no different from CIC.I phoned in and was told eventually by someone that my license was not going to be approved untill I got a police backround check sent in from my home country (they never contacted me to let me know this).
I told them that I had already got this and included it in my application!!to which the guy replied "really?!nobody made a note of that...let me take a look at your application....ah here it is!!this is fine,I'll approve your license right now".
And that was that!

It just sucks that we can't phone ottawa at all..all we can do is email them,and who even knows if they even read the majority of emails they get??

Does anyone think that contacting they're MP could maybe give them a shove to get moving with applications?

I'm just so tired of waiting and doing nothing.

In my case I didn't contact MP until there was a problem. If I saw correctly, June applicants are just being processed now in Ottawa, so you might want to wait a few more weeks? Maybe I am wrong. I usually do recommend MP since my husband's MP was really helpful, but as I mentioned, I did contact them only when we had a real problem. You might want to choose to contact them right away, but bear in mind some MP's are not really helpful, it depends on which one you got.
