Hi! I'm going to be arriving to BC soon and I was just wondering what's the average monthly costs would be. I.e rent, phone bills, medical, car expenses, groceries etc. Just an estimate, would be good to know what to expect. I heard it's quite costly.

Saying BC is a bit too general. Where are you going to be living? Cost of living can really vary from city to city.

It will depend where you choose to live in BC. Vancouver is usually more expensive in terms of rent, especially downtown area.
As for medical, you will need private insurance during the first 2 and a half months (waiting period) and afterwards your MSP will kick in, just make sure to apply for it.
The cost for MSP is around $70 a month for a single person.
