hello ;D

i am not sure what to interpret from the guide. they say that for documents in other languages, you need:

the English or French translation;
and an affidavit from the person who completed the translation;
and a certified copy of the original document.
so a notarized translation + a certified copy? is that good? i read somewhere else that you should submit the notarized translation + a simple photocopy. what's the right answer here? ???

It depends on the document. If it says certified copy it has to be notarized and the original translation must be sent in. For the PC it's original document + original translation. Some documents need only be normal photocopies...

For any docs that are being translated, ALL copies are instructed in the guide to be "certified true" copies.

This is usually required for things like birth certificates, marriage certificates, or other more "official" documents.

Things like chat logs and personal emails for relationship proofs, don't usually need to be "certified true" (especially if you have hundreds of pages of them).
