Citizenship application while PR application in process

My wife will be eligible to apply for Citizenship in two weeks, she already applied for PR card renewal 4 months back, we did not receive any feed back from CIC so far as the processing time is increasing, it is 177 days now. I have 2 questions:
1- Should we wait to receive the renewed PR cards to send the copies with the citizenship applications? Or we can just send the expired PR cards copies with the application.
2- Once we receive the renewed PR cards, should we send CIC the new cards copies to update the application in case we already applied for citizenship or just wait and give a copy during the interview.

Don't wait for the new cards , just send the expired cards copies to the CIC with your citizenship application.
You do not have to send the new cards again after you receive them , CIC just need the old cards copies.
