As per CIC website minors do not need to take the Citizen test . But I heard they must accompany me to the interview bcz they are over 14 .
Can anyone verify that ?

Minors do not have to take the exam but if they are 14 or older, they must attend the ceremony and oath.

If you have children under 14, immigration may still want to see them so it is possible that they will ask you to bring them for an interview. This happened recently to another forum member with a 5 year old child. The so called interview was nothing to worry about. They basically just wanted to see the child.

They don't have to take the test but you should bring them to the oath ceremony. Many people bring their children and your children will remember later the day they became Canadian citizens.
