I totally understand the waiting and frustration. You have been in process for long time to know that this may not be a good speed, it is, however, best average in last two years. Unless you think otherwise.

The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices once Step 1 has been completed. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013. Processing times are subject to change.

That statement is explaining how they arrive at the processing times. So the 32 months processing time for ISB means that for 80% of the cases that they processed during Oct 1, 2012 to Sept 30, 2013 it took 32 months to complete those 80% of cases.

There were some ppl on here wondering whether the processing time starts after the application is transferred to ISB or when the application is submitted to Mississauga. That statement clearly states that this time starts after Step 1 is completed. Step 1 is before you receive AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) when they are processing the sponsor's side of the application.

Did anyone apply for spouse sponsorship being a student at a university/college and having only a part-time job? If this is my case, can I apply for my spouse and get her accepted to get a PR?
There is a member here named "waiting110", I think I read somewhere here that she is a student with a part time job and still applied for her husband. Waiting110, if you are seeing this post, can you please reply? It's very important!
Others may also reply regarding my case. Please, it's really important.

yes I'm studying full time and working 4 days a week as well. whatever i make goes right into my savings and if they will ask me ill show them the balance in my savings, apply for ur wife right away. there should be no problem, inshAllah

thats what i always try to explain. that its the avg time for that period and it impacts everyone. you can't say i applied in 2012 in time was 26 months so it will also take me 26 months. btw 32 months was in extreme cases, most probably. straight forward must have been completed sooner.

that means 80% cases completed within 32 months.... from oct 2012 to sep 2013 (in this timeframe)

I also need someone to explain about e-medical? Can someone give me the background on e-medicals? My hubby is going for his medical tomorrow in Lahore....should he be asking for emedical option?? I have not read about it so far on the CIC website.

Sis he doesn't need to ask for it.my husband got it done from Lahore too and it was e-medical (they electronically transfer medical results).

If it's first medical, thy will give him a copy that you need to attach with the application and submit it to the embassy. For remedical you don't need to send anything to the embassy they will do it.
