Saan mas advisable na magpamedical? St. Luke's or Nationwide? Dami kong nabasang di ok na feedback sa St. Luke's, so does it mean mas ok sa Nationwide? Medyo matagal din sila mag-send ng results talaga.

I had mine in Nationwide, they are not so strict in Nationwide unless they found out some health issues with a patient that needed medications. It took them 2weeks to forward my medical result in the embassy. Eventhough I had 2 repeat test after a week of my medical examination with them. In St. Lukes, they are more expensive of P200 in fees. But you'll know with them within the day ang result ng medical mo. Unlike in Nationwide, they will msg you after a week kung may problems or needed more tests and you will only know that it is cleared already once they forwarded your medical in the Canadian Embassy. With Timbol... Doesn't have lots of information about them, but I have a friends who went there for medical. One was the result went well and the other one needed to have her sputum tests.

yes..nung mareciv ko ang visa may kasama letter..ang letter na yun ay need mo ipresent sa border pagpasok mo ng canada para bigyan ka nila ng work permit at mron po yung expiration date..kung di ako agkakamali yung samin ay December 10..nareciv ko yung visa ay OCtober 3..so roughly 2months lang ang meron ka para pumasok agad ng canada after you reciv the visa.

^ Thanks a lot YCE for sharing I am thinking of having it at Nationwide too. So many not-so-good experience with St. Luke's based on the feedback pero nice din yung the same day malalaman na yung result. How about sending to CEM, mabilis kaya ang St. Luke's?

First time to hear that there some negative feedback regarding St. Luke's lately. When I did my research then, St. Luke's was a no-brainer. Anyway I did my medical in St. Luke's way back in August. I encountered no issues. In half a day, I was already finished with the results. They've sent my results to CEM in 5 days.

Maybe St. Luke's is different now.

share ko lng dn po. half a day lng dn po natapos ko na all steps sa st. lukes. and within 6 days naipasa na ng st. lukes sa cem. unlike sa nationwide, 1month po yata? i think sa st. lukes po ang mas ok..

I would love to think that I'll get the visa late October or early November, considering that 3 months has already passed since we submitted our medical results to CEM. Would quitting next week be timely or should I really wait till I receive my visa? I would greatly appreciate your comments.

(All at the same time, sinubmit ko rin applications ng wife and daughter ko)

May 31, 2012 - Air21 pick-up
June 23 - Medical request
July 6 - MEdical results forwarded to CEM

Hi Bukyder,

What is your reason for quitting? Will you have any complication of resigning late when you get your Visa? Like for example you have 1 month notice to leave the company then after a month again to get your backpay. Then your Canadian employer wants you to go to Canada in 2 weeks after you received your Visa. - This is actually my case.

But I still have not resigned. Why? Because I will not have any money to pay for my daily expenses. Unless, you have the money or money is not a problem of having no work for a month that should be ok. I am in the assumption that the VO has already finished doing the background check of your employer/s. Considering that this is already your 3rd month and soon to have your visa.

Hi bukyder,

Unless you have your visa and ticket from your employer, don't resign. For:
1) nobody can ever assure of the approval of your visa application from CEM.
2) check your LMO, ifever you will be refused can your LMO be still valid for you to reapply before it expires?
3) as soon as you have the visa, it does not guarantee yet that 100% that you will land to Canada immediately, why? it maybe your company
is not needing your service for the moment, or maybe they can't continue to hire you because of recession etc.

I am only suggesting as these are all reality.
In my case, I was refused, but since my LMO still is until October I reapplied and was approved.
I informed my employer and asked them when they can deploy me. They asked me when I can settle all exit clearances, so I told them the time frame. Immediately, they purchased a ticket for me, that's the time I filed my resignation.
