Cant find application to apply for Federal skilled trade worker

Dear All,

I tried many times to apply for federal skills trade work (2241) but when I try to lodge application, It does not get me through that way. I have experience of 2241 ( Elec technician) but the system does not recognize it. May be I need some certificate from some state and I dont have it?

Can anyone please guide me?

To qualify for the Federal Skilled Trades program you need one of the following:

Have a

• valid job offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least 1 year or
• certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal authority

Do you have at least one of the above?

I reviewed requirements of many of them from different states program.
Am I correct to conclude that a person sitting outside Canada cant get them? But all of them require exams?
Anyone please guide

To the best of my knowledge you would need to be in Canada. You can't get the certificates of qualifications from outside of Canada.
