It's not about testing your luck! It's based on having 1095 of eligible days before today. It's either the computer calculator says yes or no. No "luck".

If before today you have 1095 eligible days - you're good to apply. If you only have 1094, you're not!
If you are not eligible to apply under the old law, you cannot apply until tomorrow, in which case, you need to have 1095 days as of today.

I have a problem with physical presence calculator. I landed in Canada (for the first time ) in 2013-10 as PR. The calculator shows my eligibility period as of 2012-10 to 2017-10. Then in the form it asks if I have been outside of canada during the eligibility period if I check yes then I should also provide them with residence outside canada while it does not apply to my case.
Also I should inform my address and status during eligibility period 1 year of which I was not in canada and i was not a resident of canada.
I am mixed up!!!
