Canadian citizen travel to US with green card in process

Hello - I am a Canadian citizen living and working in Canada. My EB-2 green card is in process in the US.
Can I travel to US for a couple of days as a tourist?
I know Canadian passport allows visa free travel to the US but the question is about the pending GC application.
Will it be okay?
Please advise.

Doesn't matter and even if it comes up (highly unlikely at the port of entry) just be upfront on purpose of the trip.
And do have proof of hotel, return ticket etc. All they care is if you will leave the country and will just grant B2 I-94 with 6 months validity.
