I have heard from my relatives who are in canada in their news paper they have read Canadaian Govt stopped giving work permits ?? is this news true ?? :-[ this will make students their difficult more over difficult to students who are dreaming to go their .

i dont i have asked some members here which are currently in canada they know well . i also think they have banned only work permits from diffrent countries but not work permit after studies . i have asked here to clear this issue becz lot of students are going to canada for PR after stuides .

hahah lol this might be true... but i have asked from where they get this paper?? now w8ing for their reply they also in tnsion after hearing this news may be wrong they have read in some local punjabi newspaer there .. but for just one second my dreams were shattered after hearing this if their is no work permit than we are wasting time and money by going in canada ahahah

Actually it's true. Canada has put a halt on LMOs (Labour Market Opinions) for certain occupations in the food services sector and has stopped issuing work permits for foreign workers in these categories. This halt does not impact post graduate work permits. Post graduate work permits are still being issued just as they were before.

They might be talking about work permits not being required for students to work during term and off term. Since from June 1st, work permits will not be required to work, having a valid study permit is enough. I am pretty sure that's what they were talking about.

Anything could happen in Canada...... who know if they will cancel the PGWP policy in the future? Maybe Canada will introduce the US policys like you could only get a work permit if you got a job offer.

lately i read the law for for foreigne students in canada about the work permit ,,, they did not stop it but they made some changes
they gave right for the student to work only 4 hours a day and a full time in the weekends
