Hi All,

I am the Primary applicant and i have got some points through my Spouse as well. I have also included my Spouse in the Application.

Initially, can i land alone and then my spouse join me after 3 or 4 months? [Of course, before the Visa/Medicals expiry date]

I have seen several posts suggesting both primary and secondary applicants to land together and then secondary applicant return to home country after applying for the PR. Is this mandatory?

Regards,
RB

Yes - the primary applicant can land first and alone. The dependents can follow. There's no requirement for everyone to land together.

Yes, the primary applicant can.

But, under no circumstances a dependant (your spouse in your case) can land before the PA.

Yes as soon as you have your PR card or PRTD at entry. Once you are a PR, you have the same right as any other PR.

thanks for that..so the primary has to be present only for the first visit..nice to note..

also we are US..can i carry back her card with me and get it to US? or can a relative courier the cards from Canada to USA? will customs in Canada/USA cause a problem..considering the PR card is a RFID card?

What if the secondary applicant lands after the primary applicant but when secondary applicant lands primary applicant already returned to her home country?

Hi there,
I have a question here. I am the primary applicant and planning to land in couple of weeks. I also have my wife as dependent in my application and waiting for her visa from the Singapore office. My questions is -Can I do my landing before wife's visa stamp or I have to defer the landing till she gets her PR visa? How does that my landing impact her visa stamp process?

Please reply.

Regards,
M
