Can a student with study permit status work full time while waiting for the defence (TDO: thesis defence only)?

Can a student with study permit status work full time (off campus) while waiting for the defence (TDO: thesis defence only status at the university)?! I know It’s fine to work up to 20 hours if you are full time student. But is it possible to work full time when you have thesis defence only status?!

No. You can only work full time once you have completed your program and submitted your PGWP application.

That’s what I thought too but someone told me that if you are not a full time student, then you can work. (Probably that’s the reason other students can work full time in the summer?). Is that correct by any means?

Working full time is only allowed if you are on a scheduled break (like summer vacations). You aren't on a scheduled break.

See the conditions on your Permit. Only When your educational institution is closed for a break can you work full time.
