Hi everyone , I would like to ask , If I received Resident visa from saudi arabia , is that affect my application during the process ???? Coz I received a Job offer in Saudi Arabia and I am so confused to accept the offer or not ??? Coz I am in the same boat that even I cant expect when i will get the PR . Any I deas guys ??? What can I do. ??? Continue waiting or move on ???

go and get your job and dont tell them bcz if you they will transefere your file to origin gulf visa office which its ithink 24 months and you know we r in Cairo visa office processing time is 15 months and they dont follow so what about 24 months
but the question are you sure you will be ready to respond them and come back if they request documents or interview or sending your passport

Not telling them might get you into trouble. If they feel you are withholding information in that respect they may and rightfully so, question if you have not be completely honest with them in other areas of your application.

I am under the impression that once you sign a contract in KSA that upon arrival there will be someone to "hold" your passport untill your contract is up or you have a designated leave. If you get PPR and can't get it, you will have waited this long for nothing. I may be wrong but some of my family members work in KSA and that is how it is for them.

They cannot transfer your file. You have to have lived in that country for a year in order for the office that is working those files to be responsible for yours.

You can send an e-mail, stating your concerns with how this specific office is being run. State that you know your case is still within the posted processing times. So that you are not necessarily complaining about your case, but others. Give reasons for you concerns other then its not fair, or I miss my wife/husband or they will just take it for complaining. Make valid legitimate points to express your concerns.

Everyone had a right to have their opinion heard. It is just in how you do it as to it being heard or cast aside as a sniveling attempt to get processed faster.

Madito & Madeincanada , thanks alot for your response , in fact I am wondering for two things : 1- firstly KSA Embassy request from me the passport and they said it will take 28 days to get the visa on it , so i am wondering that after giving them the passport I might get a passport request from Cairo ???? 2- if Ksa give me the visa, and it will appear in the passport , so Cairo Visa Office will see it & and will ask me why I have this Resident Visa ??? So this is the problem.. This is a stupid situation , I hate them.

Another possible problem, not that you need more.

If you are working and unable to get the time off or permission to travel ect. You may miss your deadline for landing, as it will expire with your medical. You will only have that limited time to land or again will lose everything.

*EDIT* I just looked at your timeline, you will have to get new medical or they might extend it, so you would still have a year to land from the date of the new medical/extension.

never mind local MP is useless we tried before with him and after many requesting papers and forms which ihave never heard about it then in end he said to us that he had phone calling with them ya right so i know this time will be same
we send an email to Cairo visa office and they respond back by calling me lol telling to not conatct them until if there is something important italk to her today in morning and i found that they treating our file like some trash in trash cane
so i cant do nothing just only waiting and waiting and its not option
its like we r highjacked and criminal tell us to do that n not do that stand up or sit down we cant do nothing only obey what they want us to do
but i can tell Allah please some us more mercy

It is important that when anyone is contacted they get the name and if possible the work ID of these people. Making a VALID complaint in these issues means you needs facts.

I know you(the Egyptians) are used to "how it is going there", but come on. Stand up for yourselves. This is ridiculous to say the least. I do not mean that rudely. I lived there, I know the difference. Most cases with officials there you need to light a fire under their feet to get them moving.

So your MP is not doing the job, contact a few others and explain the situation. Be firm, but not rude, make your point. The fact that the officer that called you, told you to stop contacting them and out right said they do not follow the posted processing times, add to that the fact you are over it. You have several points to get across with regards to this process.

I assume it is your wife in Canada? Is she Egyptian or Canadian? I would suggest that she calls the MP daily, do NOT give up, MAKE them to their job!

Should I worry? we have got the step 1 in end of Jan this year and till now no updates on the website, still "application received"

Sit tight, you still have about 13 months. A couple people have gotten their Visa. But they have been waiting (one from 2011) a very long time.

Be prepared to see "Application Received" for oh I'd say a year....

Not to be negative, it is the how the majority of the files are going. Better to know the reality from the beginning. Also, I am not one to sugar coat things.
