I have been asked to submit the PCC from India in next 60 days. My passport from India was issued under tatkal scheme in which police verification happens at a later stage. It was done after issue of passport but never made it to the system update. I have few friends of similar scenario who submitted the PCC application at Consulate general of India In Toronto, but even after 3 months they have not heard anything back.

I have already submitted the request to CGI Toronto as well i initiated a parallel request in India (my parents submitted the request on my behalf) to commissioner of police and recieved Local police clearance certificate.

I am not sure if the certificate from India would be enough for the CIC pcc request. Should i go ahead and submit this or should i wait for certificate from CGI Toronto?

Please suggest.

They also asked to submit a biodata page (for name, height, etc.).

Yes the certificate from local police is enough. I did the same.

After 3 weeks that I sent them updated Docs, and I was waiting for PPR, today they asked me for CV and list of publications of my husband, (he is a part time PhD student, and a full time worker)... NO PPR yet !
After MR I thought that is the last one, then they asked for updated Docs, then I thought it is definitely the last one before PPr , and now again they are asking for something else ........ why did not they ask for this at the same time they asked for updated docs? ............ I really hope this is the last step.

So sorry to hear this Bahar, the good news is, they are not asking for anything difficult, and this should be the last thing... so cheer up

Now I am worried what they may be wanting from me, since we have the same timeline :'(

I am a FSW2 June 2011 applicantm got my MR on Augusst29. We reverted back with medical result on Sep 3rd. Since then no update from Ottawa.

Its almost 2 months, do you have any advise for me at this point of time?

Unfortunately i dont have any advise for you except move on with your life , have fun and PR will come when it is supposed to come.

Hello Cam,
I believe they are not gonna ask you for something new. My case is different, because my husband is a PhD student and I've seen other PhD students who have been asked for CV and list of publication, but first they were main applicants (which my husband is not) and second they asked for CV and .. long time before MR, due to these 2 reasons I thought they won't ask for his CV and... in my case. But " ZEHI khiale batel " ....

Dont get too disturbed Bahar...hopefully this will be the last request and your PPR will come in the next few days. I suspect they googled him during background check and they saw some of his publications and they want to confirm if they are his. No worries at all.

Hello Guys,

I received medical, FBI clearance, RPRF request from NDVO last week. Right now i am working in Sudbury, Canada on valid work permit. Could you guys please provide me ref. of doc in GTA area with e medical facility. We do not have anyone for medicals in Sudbury so need to travel to GTA (400 km) to find one.

One more thing, i will be sending my passport to NDVO next month via one frd who is travelling to India from Canada. Shall i send my FBI clearance before it? Will it make any diff in processing time?

I received medical and doc request on the same day as you! But I applied in Nov 2010 :-|
What is the tag of your officer?
