They applied on August 15th and got the rejection letter on September 14th. I dont know about the correspondence letter since the application was with the lawyer.
Seems like getting the correspondence letter one day before the final decision letter is not always end up as a rejection. don't panic

btw Sep 14th is Saturday. Did they actually issue and send you letter on Saturday? I thought they don't work on Saturdays.

I dont know how does it work, sometime send a letter on weekend or even at midnight

Yes. Last night at 1:50 am I got his refusal letter. They said his competition was on Sep 20th so due to purpose of trip he refused.
